What began as a casual discussion with drivers and other road users within the Ashaiman constituency has turned political.

While many locals believe that the Akufo Addo-Bawumia administration has neglected to make their roads motorable because it has less of the voting population in Ashaiman, this is not the case.

Since there has already been much discussion about Ashaiman’s roads, the vast majority have chosen to hold off on commenting, claiming that the government has chosen to ignore what they appear to be referring to.

Some of them expressed their utter disappointment in the government for not seizing the chance to influence Ashaiman’s electorate to vote in favor of the NPP, the ruling party.

On the condition of anonymity, some road users claimed that the NDC left single-coated roads unfinished when it left office, missing the chance to have them finished by the NPP administration.

While the majority of people think voting is a waste of time, there are those who disagree.

Some people will take the chance to punish the NPP.

Drivers claim that in order to survive on the meager wages they receive for their arduous work, they frequently run to the workshop and return home with essentially nothing.

Some questioned whether Ghana really does have a president and a government right now.

Others gave notice of a significant anti-government protest.

However, given that the police have just dispersed a planned demonstration that was scheduled to take place yesterday, the future will tell whether that will hold.

It is unclear when protesters will be able to use their civil rights to express their displeasure.
