Among the esteemed speakers will be Joseph Kobla Wemakor, the Executive Director of Human Rights Reporters Ghana (HRRG) and the Convener of the Ghana Civil Society Organizations Platform on SDGs (Youth Sub-platform).

Mr. Wemakor’s wealth of experience in activism and civic engagement uniquely positions him to address the pressing issues facing civic space in Ghana.

He will be joined by a distinguished panel, including:

Bertha Badu-Agyei, News Editor at the Ghana News Agency. She will share insights on the media’s vital role in enhancing transparency and promoting civic participation during elections.

Vera Addo, Programs Officer at CDD-Ghana. Vera will present research findings emphasizing the importance of informed citizen engagement in sustaining democracy.

Mercy Larbi, Deputy Commissioner at the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice. She will discuss critical human rights issues and advocate for accountability in governance.

Kofi Yeboah, General Secretary of the Ghana Journalists Association. Kofi will highlight the challenges journalists face when covering civic topics and stress the importance of maintaining press freedom.
