Love, Hope and Community: Inside Accra’s “Love Feast” Easter Initiative
In a time when many communities continue to grapple with economic and social challenges, one initiative is choosing to respond with compassion, connection, and purpose.
On Easter Monday, April 6, the DAP Global Foundation, in collaboration with The Outpouring Oasis, will host the 2026 edition of its flagship Love Feast – Community Easter Celebration—an outreach designed not just as an event, but as an experience of hope for families, children, and young people.
At its core, the Love Feast is about people. It is about creating a space where children can feel seen, families can share in joy, and young people can find inspiration for a better future.
From free meals to engaging games and mentorship sessions, every aspect of the initiative is intentionally crafted to uplift and empower.
The project is spearheaded by Dr. Amaris N. A. Perbi, a Global Training Consultant & Executive Educator whose work continues to reflect a deep commitment to community transformation.
Through her leadership, the Love Feast has evolved into a meaningful platform that blends celebration with social impact.
More than just a festive gathering, the initiative reflects the deeper message of Easter—renewal, sacrifice, and hope.
It serves as a reminder that even in challenging times, communities can come together to support one another and build stronger, more inclusive societies.
This year’s celebration promises a dynamic mix of activities—from educational engagements and mentorship opportunities to moments of fun and connection.
For many children, it will be more than a day of entertainment; it will be a moment of belonging and encouragement.
Adding colour and excitement to the event are some of Ghana’s most recognizable personalities, including Funny Face, Nakeeyat, Parrot Mouth, Lekzy DeComic, and Kwaku Manu. Their presence is expected to not only entertain but also inspire young attendees who look up to them.
Behind the scenes, the success of the Love Feast is driven by a strong network of partners, including BorrowBuddy Nexus, DAP Asetenapa Homes, PowerRead Africa Foundation, and BraveHeart International Schools. Additional support from Sip Life Juice, Deep Dream Jollof Foods, AppTech Hub Global, DAP Shipping Services LLC, and Rev. Seer S. Obeng Amoako highlights the power of collaboration in driving community impact.
Ultimately, the Love Feast Community Project is a testament to what can happen when purpose meets action.
It is a reminder that beyond policies and programmes, real change often begins with simple acts of kindness—shared meals, encouraging words, and moments of genuine human connection.
As Accra prepares to host this impactful gathering, one thing is clear: the Love Feast is not just an event—it is a movement of hope, compassion, and community.
