Easter is often celebrated with family, reflection, and shared meals. But for children at the SOS Children’s Village in Tema, the season has also come to represent something more — a dependable act of kindness that has endured for over two decades.
On Saturday, April 4, 2026, T.T. Brothers Limited returned to the village once again, marking its 22nd consecutive year of Easter giving.
The company, a well-known Ghanaian marketing and distribution firm dealing in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food chemicals, and flavours, donated essential food supplies to support the children and caregivers during the festive period.
This year’s donation included 15 bags of rice, 30 cartons of Rhodes fruit juice, and five cartons of one-litre cooking oil — items carefully selected to meet both practical needs and the spirit of celebration.
For the children and staff, the visit was not just about the items delivered, but the continuity of a relationship that has grown stronger over the years.
More Than a Donation
Receiving the items on behalf of the village, Victoria Kwadey, a mother representative, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the company. She offered prayers for the continued success of T.T. Brothers Limited, while the children added their voices in appreciation by reciting the SOS Village prayer — a simple but powerful gesture of thanks.
Moments like these highlights what has become clear over time: this initiative is not transactional; it is deeply relational.
A Legacy in Motion
This year’s presentation was led by Jacqueline Tetteh, daughter of the company’s Managing Director, Isaac Tetteh — a sign that the tradition is gradually being passed on to the next generation.
In speaking about the initiative, Jacqueline reflected on her personal connection to the village.
“We’ve been coming here since we were very young,” she said. “We’ve seen the effort our parents put into this, and we understand what it means. The goal is to continue it — to honour them, but also to be here for the children.”
Her remarks point to something larger than a corporate gesture — a family-driven commitment that is evolving into a lasting legacy.
Bringing Joy, Not Just Supplies
While the donated items go a long way in supporting the daily needs of the children, Jacqueline emphasized that the impact goes beyond food.
“The children look forward to seeing us every year,” she explained. “So aside from the items, it brings them joy and hope.”
That sense of anticipation — of being remembered — is perhaps one of the most meaningful outcomes of the initiative.
Accountability and Care
Behind the scenes, the process is structured to ensure fairness and transparency. According to Jacqueline, the company works closely with the mothers at the village — who serve as primary caregivers — to ensure that all items are distributed proportionately across the various homes.
Their involvement helps maintain accountability and ensures that each household benefits as intended.
Interestingly, while the village does not directly determine what items are brought, the company intentionally selects products that create a festive atmosphere — a break from routine that makes occasions like Easter feel special.
A Message Beyond the Village
As the visit concluded, Jacqueline used the opportunity to share a message that extends beyond the walls of the SOS Village.
“Easter is about love and sacrifice,” she said. “It’s not just another holiday. Everyone can do something — no matter how small — to support someone in need.”
Sustaining Impact
Over 22 years, T.T. Brothers Limited has built more than a tradition; it has built trust, connection, and consistency. In a time when many charitable efforts are short-lived, this long-standing commitment stands out.
For the children at Tema SOS Village, Easter is not only a season of reflection — it is also a reminder that they are seen, remembered, and supported.
And for T.T. Brothers Limited, the journey of giving appears far from over.
